This course introduces students to the basics of biblical Hebrew vocabulary and grammar in order to read the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament in the original language and to use Accordance Bible software, critical commentaries, and other scholarly resources that illumine the Hebrew Scriptures. Connections with contemporary Jewish communities are fostered through learning Hebrew songs and blessings, and through studying Jewish interpretive traditions.
