Lutheran School of Theology
Affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, LSTC offers preparation for professional ministry in the church, advanced studies in ministry, and academic study of theology. The M.Div. curriculum features a strong accent upon study of the traditions of the church and a comprehensive field education program, with special emphasis on cross-cultural ministry and global awareness. Opportunities are offered for specialization in Hispanic ministries, in ministry and social work, and for coordinated M.Div./Ph.D. degrees (with the University of Chicago).
Lutheran School of Theology, along with McCormick Theological Seminary and Catholic Theological Union, is located at 5416 South Cornell Avenue, in the Hyde Park area of Chicago. The schools can be reached by car via the Chicago metropolitan expressway system from Lake Shore Drive (south) or the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94), and by CTA bus/train or the Metra Electric line.
