Chicago Center for Global Ministries

For over fifty years the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Catholic Theological Union, and McCormick Theological Seminary have collaborated on programs, research projects, seminars, and publications. The Chicago Committee for Global Mission (CCGM) is the organizational frame that brings faculty, students, and communities into conversation and explores new ways of cooperation, discussion, and dialogue. CCGM hosts events that are open to the public.  In the 2021-22 academic year, these events include:

  • Scherer Lecture on September 28, 2021, featuring Dr. George Hunsberger, one of the founders of the Gospel and Culture movement, lecturing on “Four Innovators in Mission.”
  • World Mission Institute on March 10, 2022, featuring Dr.George Sabra, President of the Near East School of Theology, Beirut, Lebanon.
